Tis the Season

Together With
Good morning, Wichita!
Baseball is America’s pastime and tomorrow is officially the home opener for our Wind Surge! Has the name grown on you yet?
Let's get to it!

Last Call
In ~8 years, our audience has grown to over 100,000 social media followers, 27,000 email subscribers, millions of views and 10s of thousands of podcast downloads.
All of these numbers are exciting and we are beyond thankful for the support, but Wichita Life has never been about us, it has always been about YOU, the community.
This Thursday, at Learning Lab Wichita we will bring together a bunch of our family, friends, and followers to celebrate Wichita Life surviving another year and celebrate Wichita in general.
We would love if you would join us! We will have food, drinks, good music and even a little special gift! Get your tickets today. See you this week!

Together with Advanced Orthopaedic Associates
Quick question - if someone you loved was hurt, would you want to be prepared beforeor after they were hurt?
The AOA Now and Hurt! partnership will make it easier than ever to get same-day orthopedic care in Wichita.
Kids will be kids, adults will be adults, and injuries happen.
With the Hurt! app, our community can now access injury experts for free!

You can catch them in collaborations with Cameo Cakes & River City Sweet Shop as well as Big Joe’s Catering at Cafe 402 in the Downtown YMCA!
Movie Night
Did you know Wichita has a bunch of spots to catch a flick - like The Orpheum, Tallgrass Film Center, Riverflix (coming back to Exploration Place), and even the classic Starlite Drive-In?
Fire at the Zoo
This is a planned fire between 10am - 5pm unless the wind is over 15 mph to clean up overgrowth and weeds.
No, you still can’t burn, we are under a burn ban this month.

Street Sweeper Szn

The City of Wichita used 13,300 tons (or 26,600,000 pounds) of 50/50 salt sand mix which is about 5000 more than last year.
April is the official start of the salt/sand cleanup efforts.
The sand and other material collected by the street sweepers year round is used as required cover material for Brooks landfill, and saves about $600,000 a year in landfill costs.
