  • Inspired by late-night markets of Asia

  • Local eats, drinks, and arts of Asian cuisine

Together with Kansas Plastic Surgery

At Kansas Plastic Surgery, one thing they take pride in is the state-of-the-art technology used in our office!

There is a list of different concerns that just these machines alone can help with whether it be skin tightening, toning, hair removal, contouring, and more just in time for summer.

Wichita Riverfest 2025 is just a week away! There is a ton of great coverage out there, but we want to give you a quick run down of it all:

  • Wichita Life Podcast - We just had President & CEO of Wichita Festivals BreAnna Monk on the Wichita Life Podcast to fill us in on all the new and exciting stuff for this year. Listen on on Youtube, Spotify, Apple, or wherever you listen to podcasts.

  • Family Fun Day is Sunday 6/1 - it will now be FREE for children 12 and under (as long as an adult with a button is with them). This is the only day that kids 6-12 get in free, kids 5 and under are always free. The Riverfest team heard you, listened, and wants to help.

  • Food Court Update - You no longer have to buy tickets that you trade for food. It’s ALL ticketless and cashless baby. Break out the plastic

  • Light the Spire! - The Century II spire (the thingy that sticks straight up out of the middle of the space ship) will be lit for the first time in a decade on June 1st as part of the Riverfest “I Choose Wichita” event

Bella Vita Restaurant

Long story short, Bella Vita is one of the best italian places in town, but has a mouse problem in recent days.

I know what you’re thinking. No, the mice were not cooking the food ala Ratatouille. Owner Lora Wooley is doing everything she can to fight the issue, keep her restaurant clean and truly battling to stay open.

Let’s rally and help her out. Don’t give up on her, she’s trying.

All Star Adventures

All Star Adventures out East closed in late 2024.

12 acres of the land was scooped up by a Denver-based developer and in partnership with Wink Hartman II is bringing a new sports and entertainment concept. (This owner, Kenneth Monfort, is the son of Colorado Rockies co-owner Charlie Monfort).

It will be up and running in Spring 2026 and will feature some mix of sports, food, drinks, with several different sports. Stay tuned.

It appears the rest of the former All Star space will be developed by Mammoth Clubhouse (out of Topeka) that will include TopGolf-esque tech-enabled ball tracking as well as a 27-hole Pure Put course which is similar to “PopStroke”.

Valedictorian

Congratulations to Austin Tran on achieving the incredible accomplishment of Valedictorian!

You’ve probably heard or seen the story by now, but Austin went off-script a bit (in a way that was not bad whatsoever) in order to tell the message he actually wanted to convey (and the right he had earned as someone who worked very hard).

Bishop Carroll asked him to return his medal for giving that unapproved speech.

The community has rallied around Austin, with thousands signing a petition and many BC Valedictorian Alums returning their medals in solidarity.

Jaelen Johnston

In case you missed it, Jaelen Johnston from Derby got runner-up in this season of The Voice.

Congrats to Kameron Jaso from Maize on a great season as well!
