🌾 Who wants to party?
We would love for you to join us

Together With
Good morning, Wichita!
I know you were dying of anticipation all weekend wondering what our announcement was… one more scroll of your thumb and you are there!
Let's get to it!

Wichita Life Party
Coming up in April, Wichita Life will celebrate our 8th anniversary!
A few years back, we started to celebrate with a party where anyone is welcome to buy a ticket and attend and it quickly became one of our favorite nights of the year.
Followers, subscribers, friends, randos - we want to meet and hang out with each of you.
We pick a newer-ish spot in town (Doma then IMA rooftop then Commerce Club) and this year we’re partying at the new Learning Lab at Union Station (which if you haven’t seen, you will be blown away). Did someone say rooftop downtown?

The Learning Lab
A portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards creating a scholarship fund for The Learning Lab (quick video from their Grand Opening).
What to expect:
Delicious food from Meddy's
Desserts from September Moon Cupcakery
Speciality cocktail courtesy of Una Vida Tequila
Beer & wine
DJ4THEWIN on the 1s and 2s
Hanging with the most interesting people in Wichita (not us... you!)
A very special gift
Thank you to our sponsors: JP Weigand, The Learning Lab, Meddy's, Margaret McHenry Maids, Una Vida Tequila, September Moon Cupcakery, Love of Character

Together with Tanganyika Wildlife Park
Tanganyika Wildlife Park is a family-friendly destination that is a bit more intimate than a regular zoo where you can get up-close and personal and have hands on interaction with the animals.
You can feed animals like giraffes, rhinos, and lions, swim with penguins, meet and greet the lemurs and so, so much more.
Season passes are now on sale, but there are less than 1500 less and premium passes are already sold out!
A season pass includes:
unlimited visits all season
unlimited animal feedings
unlimited snacks and drinks (for you!)
and more perks!

Cousins Maine Lobster

You can’t find this at El Dorado Lake
I did not have a chance to try it last time they were in town, but the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck was extremely popular on their first tour.
They’re coming back for a 2nd tour starting on Wednesday 3/19 in hutch before coming to Wichita and Derby.
Da Burbs
Here at Wichita Life, we don’t discriminate against suburbs.
First up on the west side, Goddard is planning a $20 mixed-use development with housing and restaurants.
Out near Andover, Mega Pines Mini Golf opened with inflatables in November 2024 and will be opening a new mini golf course this May.

CIVIL
Wichita votes No
The final count is in. The special election took place on 2/25, but mail-in ballots were continue to be counted since then and now the official result is in.
The potential $450 million bond was shot down in a very tight vote. The bond lost by just 319 votes or < 1% and only 14% of eligible voters voted.
With a ‘no’, the rate will drop in 2029 when the current 20-year bond finishes out.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be a new bond issued at all, there could be a smaller bond down the road.

Back in 2010, Wichita came together to put out the 2010 Project Downtown master plan.
Last week, 300 leaders from Wichita met up to discuss what that could loo like.

The KIDS Network
The KIDS Network is short for The Kansas Infant Death and SIDS Network and is dedicated to supporting families and individuals impacted by miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss.
Coming up on March 14th, you can support by heading to the Wichita Thunder Game or a Cowtown 5k coming up in Aprila nd a Golf Tournament in September.
