Do you remember when March was the start of Spring and not very warm Summer weather?

Yesterday, Wichita reached somewhere around 95 degrees which absolutely shatters the 1918 record high of a measly 83 degrees.

All in a days work for Kansas weather.

Detox Soap

Firemen’s Friend sells a Detox Sopa that helps remove hazardous toxins and chemicals that firefighters have to deal with.

The selling of this soap helps fund the WIchita-based nonprofit called Beyond teh Call that focuses on health and wellness for firefighters. It was also started by five Wichita firefighters a few years back.

Eisenhower Airport Status

Security lines at airports are insane right now. We just cancelled some flights this week because we weren’t about to climb the Mount Everest of travel obstacles with three young kids.

Luckily for Wichita, we don’t have to deal with that kind of thing (at least when we’re leaving from Wichita). Wichita continues to have one of the best small airports I’ve ever been to.

Kechi Park

I don’t go to Kechi very often, but their new park might be a good reason to revisit it.

Their city park is about to get a big upgrade (and what a surprise that our friends Lydia and Conner Hampton are some of the driving forces behind it).

There are certain things that you don’t even realize others have to go through until it happens to someone close to you.

Today is Amniotic Fluid Embolism Awareness Day in honor of Kim Hayes.

Kansas joins a growing number of states across the country recognizing this day in an effort to increase awareness, education, and preparedness for this rare condition.
