The AOA Now and Hurt! partnership will make it easier than ever to get same-day orthopedic care in Wichita.
Kids will be kids, adults will be adults, and injuries happen.
With the Hurt! app, our community can now access injury experts for free!
U.S. Figure Skating Championships
Picture this: you’re sitting at home watching the Milano Cortina (yes, that is Italy) Winter Olympics absolutely floored by how good the figure skaters are.
Okay, now imagine watching those same figure skaters right here in Wichita.
That is exactly what is happening as Wichita hosts the U.S. Figure Skating Championships this week. Some of these individuals will compete next year in the Olympics!
Not only that, but bringing an event like the US Figure Skating Championships to Wichita could bring in $8 million to our city.
We want to give you the quick rundown on everything happening this week so you don’t miss a thing.

Lineup
More than 180 athletes will compete at the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships in singles, pairs and ice dance.
This year's competition will feature all four U.S. champions from 2024: Madison Chock and Evan Bates, Ilia Malinin, Amber Glenn and Ellie Kam and Danny O'Shea.
Here are more details on a few of these skaters (I won’t be able to list all of their accomplishments):
Madison Chock and Evan Bates - Madison and Evan are not just a power couple on the ice, but they also got married in June 2024. 🫶They were Olympic Team Event gold medalists in 2022 and also Olympians in 2018 and 2014. The couple also are back to back world champs in 2024 and 2023.
Madison Chock & Evan Bates
Ilia Malinin - Ilia aka the Quad God is the first and only skater to land a fully rotated quadruple Axel aka the hardest jump in figure skating. Ilia is also the 2024 World Champ, 2x Grand Prix Final Champ, 2023 and 2024 US National Champ and much more. See the insane move here:
Amber Glenn - Amber is one of the shining stars of US figure skating right now. She is the 2024–25 Grand Prix Final champion, the 2024 U.S. national champion, the 2024 Grand Prix de France and 2024 Cup of China champion, a two-time ISU Grand Prix bronze medalist, and a three-time ISU Challenger Series medalist. She is also the fourth American woman to land a clean triple Axel in international competition.
Amber Glenn
Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea - Ellie and Danny are the 2024 US Champs amongst several other medals across several competitions.
I want to highlight a few of these because I don’t think many people realize… THESE ARE THE BEST SKATERS IN THE UNITED STATES (and likely the world) and they are right here for us to watch with our own eyes right here in Wichita.
