🌾 The End of an Era

Will you miss Towne West?

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Wichita!

Today is National Social Media Day. If you don’t follow us on social, we would love to have you!

Let's get to it!

The End of an Era

Most of the remaining tenants at Towne West have to be out by the end of today.

Hundreds of people went by yesterday for a last walk through. Will you miss the west side mall?

Maybe we can get in for one last big game of hide and seek?

Together with Sedgwick County Zoo

If you don’t follow Sedgwick County Zoo on social or their email, you’re likely missing a near daily dose of cuteness and positivity.

They post milestones of their baby elephants, baby chimps, and updates on amazing events like Twiliight Tuesdays that happen every Tuesday in July.

Be sure to folow along on their site, on facebook, instagram, or wherever you prefer!

She also owns Nerdy Nuptials ICT and is a Girl Scout Service Unit and Troop Leader.

She raises four kids while doing all these things.” - Wichita Life Reader

Drought Restrictions

KSN

We are officially no longer in a drought (per the technical definition) as of June 17th.

After the 6th wettest June on record, Cheney Lake rose 7.5+ feet to bring it up to 97.5% full according to the US Army Corps of engineers. That being said, we’re still in Stage 2 of Drought Restrictions.

At the end of every month the city checks the % Cheney Lake is full and then calculates a 12-month moving average.

At the beginning of June, the average was 60.1%. Once it reaches 70%, the Stage 2 / once a week watering restrictions can be lifted.

Wichita School Board

There are 14 candidates vying for 4 seats on the Wichita school board.
