🌾 Taco Fest Weekend!
Check it out

Together With
Good morning, Wichita!
Today marks Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates the day when news finally reached enslaved people in Texas about the Emancipation Proclamation, President Abraham Lincoln’s order ending slavery in the United States more than two years earlier.
Let’s get to it!

CIVIL
Water Quality Report
Wichita’s latest Water Quality Report found the city’s drinking water continues to meet state and federal safety standards, with no violations reported during 2025 testing. The report also showed residents used about 17 billion gallons of water last year — roughly 1 billion fewer gallons than 2024 — as conservation efforts, updated fixtures, and long-term water planning continue across the city.
LOCAL
Music Theatre Wichita
Music Theatre Wichita is one of the best hidden gems in Wichita. This is world class talent week in and week out right here in Wichita.
They have a showing all weekend of Hello, Dolly!
Taco Fest

Taco Fest is one of the biggest events in Wichita. You get your ticket. You get in. You eat a ton of tacos and have a great time.
See you there?
Orpheum Theatre
The Orpheum Theatre is putting out a call for Wichita-connected artists to help create the next visual landmark for one of downtown’s most recognizable buildings through the 2026 1st Street Mural Project. The selected artist’s original design will be transformed into a large-scale mural displayed on the theatre’s 1st Street exterior for the next five years, with printing support from City Blue Print.
Summer Music Theater Show Choir Camp
Summer Music Theatre is bringing the energy with a Sister Act 2 Show Choir Camp focused entirely on the music from the fan-favorite movie. Open to performers looking to sing, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive environment, the camp wraps with a showcase performance and is a chance to celebrate show choir without the pressure of competition.
Dexter Dennis
The AfterShocks won it all (and a milli) last summer, but why not come back even stronger? Dexter Dennis will be joining the squad for the TBT this year.
Penguins and Otters
Have you ever swam with penguins or otters before? Now is your chance.
Golf with Us
Summer break means more chances to get outside and try something new, and Bank of America is helping make golf more accessible for Wichita families through Golf with Us. The program gives kids an affordable way to get out on the course, learn the game, and enjoy a fun summer activity together.
Cheapest Bowling
Looking for an indoor family activity this summer? Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes is offering a Summer Fun Pack through July 31 with 90 minutes of bowling (shoes included), two medium pizzas, and beverages for groups of up to 6 for $79.95.
