Sunflower Summer is Here

Sunflower Summer is officially here starting tomorrow!

From July 12 - August 3, families can take advantage of this program to visit attractions all over the state.

All you have to do is download the app, make an account, and start to explore. Find more details here.

Together with City of Wichita

We still have over a month left of summer before school starts.

If you or your kids are looking for something fun to do or somewhere to pick up a new skill, look no further than the City of Wichita Evolve activity guide.

Here are a few things you could check out:

Ken N Barbie’z food truck caught on fire while driving back in June. With support from the community, they should hopefully be back in business sooner than expected.

Delano Common Consumption

Is Delano catching up with the times or returning to its Wild West roots?

TBD, but the City Council just voted 7-0 to create a common consumption area in Delano.

This doesn’t actually create the common consumption area, but allows a plan to be created.

The goal is to connect small businesses and to take advantage of the walkability of the area.

Bike Walk Wichita

Speaking of walkability and transforming Wichita..

Bike Walk Wichita has been pushing to make Wichita more accessible and connected for years.

Pracht Wetlands

Phase 3 of the Pracht Wetlands Park Master Plan has a ribbon cutting today at 8:30am!

It is one of the few remaining urban wetlands in the midwest.

Weekly Vietnamese Night Market

Starting tomorrow and running every Saturday until September 6th, you can find a new Vietnamese Night Market from 5 - 11pm at the vacant NuWay building lot at 3441 E Harry (across from All Saints Catholic Church)!

The Big Float

The Big Float is back tomorrow from 1pm - 5:30pm.

You can bring your own float, rent a float, or just come hang out. This is a great chance to get out and experience the Ar-Kansas like you’ve never experienced it before.
