NEWS

Riverfront Stadium

Riverfront Stadium is out, Equity Bank Park is in, at least for the next 15 years.

The cat is out of the bag and Equity Bank will be slapping their name on the stadium.

This is the biggest naming rights deal in Wichita since Intrust Bank Arena signed a 25 year deal for $8.75 million back in 2008.

If you’re curious how the downtown baseball stadium came to be, check out the story here (WBJ).

p.s. The Wind Surge name is sticking as well. Has it grown on you?

Together with Kansas Plastic Surgery

They do plastic and cosmetic surgery. They also offer medspa services.

Today we want to highlight their new Quantum RF treatment that helps with skin tightening and mild fat reduction.

Is a little self-care one of your New Year’s Resolutions? It isn’t too late to get started.

Now it is starting to get even more recognition as it is a semifinalist for the prestigious “James Beard Awards” for outstanding restaurant.

Wichita Life Spotlight

We put out a form for you to recommend people doing special things in our community and today we will kick off the Spotlight.

Larry & Ashley King - Photo Credit: Wichita Eagle

I met Ashley when I first moved here in late 2021. I was a new widow and so very lost and sad still. I read about her coffee shop, Sojourner’s, and the name caught my eye because it’s what my late husband named our RV. Being an officer’s wife was my second proudest thing and I went into the coffee shop and immediately felt safe. She and her husband have since moved on to bigger and better things, all which serve veteran’s, servicemen/women, and their spouses. Even though I don’t see Ashley in person often, she has made the time to reach out from time to time to let me know I’m in her thoughts and prayers.” - Wichita Life Reader
