Together with Wichita Riverfest
Riverfest is only 79 days away which will be here before we know it.
We wanted to fill you in on a few things that you can already sign up for:
Fidelity Bank River Run - There is a 10k, 5k, 1 mile Family Fun Run, and a Tot Trot for ages 2-7
Sundown Parade Event - Become the center of attention on your very own float at the 2025 Sundown Parade on Friday, May 30 - Apply today
Riverfest Classic Car Show - Sign up your classic or custom cars today for the car show - Registration ends May 30
Riverfest Gravel Grinder - 3rd Riverfest Gravel Grinder bike event with 20-mile and 40-mile races - Deadline is June 6
There are so many ways to get involved and participate, make this the year you try something new (or continue a tradition)!

Exploration Place Announcement
Before we get started, I wanted to help break some news for our favorite science and exploration museum, Exploration Place:
Exploration Place is bringing back Outdoor Movie Nights aka Riverflix to the new Wichita Foundation Amphitheater in 2025! This time instead of just 6, they’re doing it EVERY FRIDAY from April 18th to October 17th!
Current film schedule includes: Finding Dory, Wicked, Inside Out 2, Lilo & Stitch, Minions, Barbie, Shrek and many more to be announced!
Quick Guide to St. Paddy’s Prelude & Spring Break
Today’s newsletter deep dive serves two purposes:
Enlighten you about activities for this lucky weekend
Give you a few activities to keep yourself and the kids busy over Spring Break (we will still be sending emails next week, just giving you a guide ahead of time)
St. Patrick’s Day Weekend
Monday is St. Patrick’s Day, but the party starts this weekend!
Delano Paddy Day Parade
One of the biggest events of the weekend is the annual Delano Paddy Day Parade on Saturday, March 15th. Come down to Delano for family fun and a street party. Here are a few details to keep note of:
Paddy Day Parade - Starts at Noon - It starts out going West on Douglas from McLean Blvd to Walnut St, then North on Walnut St to Pacific St
Street Party & Food Truck Rally - 10am to 6pm - North Side of Douglas between Walnut and Handley Streets
DJ Dugger - 1:30pm to 5:30pm - at the Street Party
Kids Zone - 10am to 3pm - NW Parking lot at Douglas and Osage St
Drink Truck Zone - 10am to 3pm - North side of Douglas on Sycamore St
note: Several streets will be closed from 7am to 5pm.
Wagon O’Masters Paddy Party
Head down to Naftzger Park from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, March 15th (yes, this is within walking distance of Delano) for the Wagon O’Masters Paddy Parade. There will be games, raffles, concerts, and much more.
This event raises money similar to the 2024 Wagon Master Chili Cook Off.
Pub / Beer Crawls
Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl is this Saturday March 15th from 4pm to Midnight. Hit up 5+ locations. Drink responsibly.

Wichita now has 3 ferris wheels btw
For a lot of the USD 259 (Wichita Schools) and surrounding areas, spring break is next week from Monday 3/17 to Friday 3/21.
There are plenty of full on guides (listed below), we just wanted to give you a few ideas:
Great Plains Nature Center - Check out Spring Break Programs
Exploration Place - has extended hours
Sedgwick County Zoo - their Spring Fling program is too popular and is already sold out, but still check out the zoo!
Tanganyika Wildlife Park - season pass sale ends this week, but the park opens for the season on 3/15
Botanica - beautiful weather + beautiful park
Aviate, Fun City, Lily Lake, Urban Air - Burn off some energy
Chicken n Pickle or Tap N Paddles - Get your pickleball on
Boulevard Theatres or Starlite Drive-in - Catch a flick
