🌾 Not The Friendliest City in the US

DO you agree?

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Wichita!

You know when they say “this town ain’t big enough for the both of us”.

That should also go for 88+ degree weather and October, so let’s hope today is the hottest day of the rest of the year.

Let’s get to it!

NEWS

Not The Friendliest City in the US

get it? Witches. Wichita. Do people really think this of Wichita?

They say not to believe everything you read on the internet.

Well…

Allegedly, according to “tRaVeL and LeIsUrE”, Wichita is in last place when it comes to Friendliest Cities in the US.

Idk about you, but Wichita has a lot of that midwest hospitality in my opinion.

This ranking was based on things like "frequency of positive interactions with strangers, the likelihood of receiving help when needed, and the overall friendliness of local residents”.

I don’t know, man.

One Heart Project Graduates First Wichita Class

Four Wichita teens celebrated new beginnings this week as the first local graduates of the One Heart Project, a program that partners with Sedgwick County Juvenile Justice to help youth in the system rebuild their futures. At a ceremony hosted by the Urban League of Kansas, the teens received certifications recognizing their progress in life skills, job readiness, and accountability. Families, community leaders, and legislators applauded their transformation as proof that second chances work. The next cohort begins Oct. 6 at Marshall Middle School and Sowers Alternative High School.
