🌾 More rooftop bars in Delano?

Who are you excited to see?

Together With

Good morning, Wichita!

Welcome to Kansas. 81 degrees tomorrow, 53 degrees Sunday, windy every day.

C’est la vie.

Let's get to it!

Rooftop Bars or Restaurants

We have been preaching to the choir about needing more rooftop accessible bars and restaurants for a while.

While I’d love to have it right on the river, in Delano or Downtown is the next best option.

Wichita Brewing Company just opened their new location (with rooftop) in Delano and it is awesome.

Now Flatlanders Brewing Company is coming to 623 W Douglas (directly west of Picasso’s Pizzeria), former home of Visual Fusion.

LOCAL BUSINESS

Tariffs and Wichita

How will the 25% import tariff on goods from Mexico and Canada affect Wichita?

Keep in mind, this affects Canadian whiskey, mezcal, and Tequila.

For Sale

Wichita has a number of recognizable buildings.

Epic Center, Century II, Garvey Center Tower, Ambassador Hotel, etc.

One that you might not think of at first, but would likely recognize is The Commodore at Elm and Broadway. This 1929 former hotel, apartment building is now up for sale.

West Side Entertainment

The East vs West debate never gets old, but this looks like a dub for the dub of the Dub (a win for the West side of Wichita for those who didn’t keep up).

NewMarket Square is looking to expand with a new entertainment district including indoor and outdoor entertainment for food, alcohol, DJs, pickleball courts, food hall and much more.

Small Business Anniversary

If you own a small business, we want to celebrate you.

Flood in Ablah

I spent a lot of time in the Ablah Library back in my day.

The Sunday before spring break, Ablah flooded up to 4 inches across 50,000 sq-ft and nearly ruined the special collections section that includes rare books, historical documents, and more.

Congrats to the Wichita-area bowlers who made the All-Metro team!

🐝 Spelling Bee

An Andover middle schooler took home the Kansas State Spelling Bee crown for the second consecutive year. This year it is 7th grader Sam Riley, last year 8th grade Carey Chesire won (and was likely the first winner out of Andover to do so)!
