Your Final Riverfest Round-Up of 2025

Wichita Riverfest 2025 has come and is nearly gone, but there are two packed days of fun left!

A few things to highlight:

  • If you were looking for the Medallion, it has been found and the 2025 Medallion Hunt has ended. It was found by Alexander King, his fiancee Caitlin Allan and his brother Dominik King.

  • Today is Fiesta del Rio which is one of the biggest parties of the whole week! La Arrolladora Banda El Limon is coming all the way from Mexico to get the party started.

  • Tomorrow is jam packed with river activities like the Fishing Derby (free without a button), Cowboy bathtub races, The Voice runner-up Jaelen Johnston, Chris Janson and so much more!

Together with White Crow Cider Company

Crafted in small batches from fresh‑pressed culinary apples, every cider they pour is naturally gluten free and typically vegan, so everyone can join the flock at White Crow Cider Company.

Choose from crisp brut dry to dessert sweet pours, plus a couple of zero‑proof taps perfect for kiddos and designated drivers.

Bring your friends, leash up the pup, and settle in for rotating food trucks or easy snacks like chips, peanuts, and the fleeting Fio Rito hummus and pimento cheese. Friendly crew, fun events, memorable pours.

Fly over and check it out today!

LOCAL

This Weekend

We have a full events section below, but some events I wanted to highlight a bit more, so here is a quick rundown of a few events you don’t want to miss:

Things that are no longer happening this weekend (thanks to flooding):

The Great Flood of 2025

As of Wednesday 6/4, Cheney Lake was 4.98’ below normal. That is up from 8’ below not long ago.

Just Tuesday alone brought the water level up 7 inches.

Despite that, we are still under drought restrictions.

Some said this is the worst flooding they’ve ever seen and I’m sure you have seen why.

It even caused damage bad enough to close some playgrounds around town and roads in area towns.
