Enrollment in Wichita Public Schools peaked at 50,988 students in 2015-2016.

This past fall, it dropped about 10% since the previous decade with a total of 46, 154 students enrolling.

Snow Days

The snow days may be over, but we will have snow for at least a few more days before it his SIXTY-FOUR DEGREES on Monday.

If you’d like to take advantage, here is a list of where to go sled in Wichita.

Speaking of snow days, how many days can these kids possibly have left?! TBD - the district is required to provide 1116 hours (177 days) and “50 hours” is allotted to weather cancellations.

Weather Record

If you’re wondering if the weather lately is normal, it’s not.

Yes, we get snow and it gets cold, but we have been setting records.

More specifically, Tuesday (2/18) broke an 87 year record by 4 degrees for the coolest high of just 13 degrees. Wednesday (2/19) broke the record low and coolest high of 2 and 8 degrees.
