🌾 Is Crown Uptown Historic?
What does it take to be historic?

Together With
Good morning, Wichita!
Did you know that Wichita was the fastest growing city in the US back in the ‘80s?
(1880s)
Let's get to it!

Is Crown Uptown Historic?

Mike Brown (out of Tulsa) owns Crown Uptown Theatre and recently applied for a demolition permit of the College Hill Classic after his request to increase capacity (multiple times) was shot down (multiple times).
The Wichita City Council voted to nominate the theatre to the Wichita Historical Registry which would prevent it from being demo’d.
This narrowly passed 4-3 from the council. More meetings to come.
