🎶 Left on Stage: A New Wichita Music Series

Left on Read is launching Left on Stage™, a new live music series celebrating Wichita artists through intimate performances and honest storytelling. The debut show features Erin E’Nae — a local stylist, musician, and community connector known for her grounded voice and magnetic presence.

Guests will enjoy a live performance plus Stories from the Stacks, an artist Q&A diving into Erin’s creative journey.

Wichita Foundation Expands

The Wichita Foundation is doing great things in the 316 and will continue to do so.

They help fund different programs such as providing a gift to Exploration Place to show free movies for families.

On Fridays and Saturdays in Delano, you can walk between businesses with a drink in hand (inside the red lines seen above).

This could be changed for every day of the week pending an amendment from the Wichita City Council.

Tell Me Something Good

One of my favorite segments on the old Bobby Bones Show (they probably still do it, but who listens to the radio anymore?) was the Tell Me Something Good segment. Here is our take:

Madilyn Zimmerman (2nd grader) turned $1 into $200 by baking cookies for the Wichita Police and Fire Foundation
Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office helped out 400 local families with their annual food box drive.
The Wind Surge Mitten Drive is going strong
A Maize teacher was shot outside of his home back in September and now the community has rallied around him to help him out financially.

Train Ride

I have always thought it would be fun to take the train from Newton to Chicago (~12 hour ride that leaves at 2am.

Now I’m vicariously living through Angela and the Wichita Mom blog and want to try it out even more.

Walker’s Jazz

Matt Wilson’s Christmas Tree-O - Matt Wilson is a WSU Grad (and now big time in the Jazz World) who will play two nights at Walker’s this weekend!
