Get Out and Vote

We are once again staying out of politics, but it is important for you to know what is coming. Tomorrow (March 3), Wichita voters will decide whether to approve a temporary 1% sales tax to fund targeted investments in:

public safety
housing and homelessness services
Century II and Convention Center
property tax relief
downtown performing arts center

The Wichita Business Journal has done a great job highlighting both sides and breaking down what the proposal means.

Ozone Season

Ozone season runs March 1–October 31, when our region is more at risk for high ozone levels. To help improve local air quality, the City of Wichita is launching its 2026 Lawn Care Rebate Program on March 1.

Residents can receive rebates for switching to cleaner lawn equipment alternatives. The City has allocated $10,000 in rebates, available first come, first served.

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your mower or yard tools, this is your sign.
