Whenever someone asks me how big Wichita, I often say “oh, 400ish thousand” or “just under 400k I think”.

Silly Pickles
Silly Pickles might sound silly, but it is serious business.
It is a new Pickleball league this summer starting 6/1 and running through 7/27 at Chicken N Pickle.
Speaking of pickleball, the 2nd Annual Love Pickle. Stop Cancer St. Jude Pickleball Tournament & Celebration in Wichita this summer on Saturday, June 28 at Chicken n Pickle. Learn more here.
Broadway for a Day
There are only a few days left (deadline = 5/21) to sign up for the 5th edition of Broadway for a Day that lets students (age 8 → College) come hang out and learn from Broadway professionals.
Summer Reading Program
The Wichita Public Library's 2025 Summer Reading Program, themed "Color Our World," runs from May 22 to July 31. Open to all ages, participants can set personalized reading goals and earn prizes. Prizes become available starting June 26, and the final day to log reading and claim rewards is July 31 .
SB Mowing
Every time you think SB Mowing can’t get any more likeable, he goes and helps mow 32 lawns and saves a pile of 8 kittens. SMH, what doesn’t this guy do?
